I was aware this movie was in production, but missed seeing the trailer release on May 16th. I didn’t realize it was almost ready to be released! Snake Eyes starring Henry Golding will be released this summer!

One of my guilty pleasures for movies, besides Transformers, is the GI Joe franchise. I’m not sure what they are planning on doing with it now with the release of this origin story. It doesn’t look like they will be getting back to the main storyline of the previous two films and will probably move forward in a different direction.

This film is a prequel to the previous two films, and is an origin story for Snake Eyes which I thought we got a hint of in the last GI Joe film - Retaliation.
