The Dresden Files - Vignette — The Credible Nerds

This very short story is found in Side Jobs set between Death Masks and Blood Rites. This is basically a conversation between Harry Dresden and Bob the skull. They are talking about Harry’s business card and how Bob thinks it’s boring and needs to be more exciting for people. Harry likes it how it is.

Jim Butcher explains that he wrote this last minute for his publisher as they needed a sample of his writing for The Dresden Files to put in some promotional material for a Comic Con. They would use this to hand out for free and peak people’s interest in the series and hopefully buy some books.

I think this scene was well written and would do a good job at giving people a taste of The Dresden Files. While it isn’t very long, there is a lot of references in the text that would peak reader’s interest in the series.
